As part of my psychology internship at Psycolab, I designed this educational poster for a public awareness event on the relationship between the gut microbiome and mental health. The goal was to communicate scientific findings in a way that was both visually engaging and easy to understand for a non-specialist audience.
I researched current evidence, selected the most relevant information and structured the content into clear sections covering anxiety, depression, sleep, ADHD, autism and Alzheimer’s disease. Throughout the design process, I focused on visual hierarchy, readability and information architecture to help visitors quickly understand complex concepts. The final poster measured over two metres in height, summarized the key topics presented during the event and included QR codes that directed visitors to Psycolab’s website as well as the complete bibliography of the scientific sources used.
This project strengthened my ability to transform scientific research into accessible, user-focused communication while combining psychology, visual design and evidence-based thinking.
